Your Alexandria experience, made effortless

Please note: this is an evening departure, not a morning one. You are collected from your ship at about 21:00, so it is designed to be booked on your first night in Alexandria, with a full day free afterwards. The early start the following morning is the point: the Giza Plateau at dawn is a completely different experience from the plateau at midday.

After the pyramids and the Sphinx you return to the city for a private boat on the Nile, with lunch served on board and a tanoura performance. The driver has you back at the terminal in the afternoon, a full day before your ship sails again.

Because the collection is late, this works best on a first or second call with a relaxed schedule. Share your ship's timings and we will confirm the plan before you book.

How your day unfolds

Alexandria Port, around 21:00 — Your Egypt Rest Tours representative meets you at the cruise exit door with a name board. The night drive to Cairo takes approximately three hours.

Hotel, around 00:30 — Transfer to your hotel for a few hours' rest.

07:00, the Giza Plateau — Early breakfast, then out to Giza while the site is still quiet. You see the Great Sphinx and walk to the base of the pyramids in first light.

10:30, free time — Time at the plateau for photographs, with camel rides available outside the site fence.

12:30, transfer to the city centre — Move towards the Nile for the afternoon.

14:00, private Nile cruise — Board your own boat for a sail on the river, with lunch served on board and a tanoura dance performance.

17:00, return to your ship — Drive back to Alexandria and return you to the terminal, a full day before your next sailing.
