Our Story

Egypt Rest Tours began with a handful of Egyptologist guides in Cairo who noticed the same gap again and again: international visitors were being sold generic, one-size-fits-all itineraries by agencies with little presence on the ground in Egypt itself. We set out to close that gap by building a company owned, staffed, and operated entirely within Egypt.

What started as a single desk arranging private guiding for a handful of American and British travelers grew steadily into a full destination management company, adding our own transport fleet, dedicated Nile cruise allocations, a Red Sea shore excursions division, and long-term contracts with the region's finest hotels.

Every expansion — new destinations, new services, new partnerships — has been guided by guest feedback and a refusal to compromise on quality. We turned down volume business early on so we could keep our guiding standards, vehicle quality, and hotel selections consistently premium.

Today, Egypt Rest Tours plans journeys from Alexandria's Mediterranean coast to Abu Simbel's desert temples, and from Cairo boardrooms to Red Sea dive boats, while never losing the personal, detail-obsessed approach that started it all.
