Your Luxor experience, made effortless
The drive from Safaga to Luxor is about three hours, and the round trip is what turns a long day into something restful. Stay one night and you cross the desert once instead of twice, and you get the Theban sites at the best possible times: Karnak in the cool of the late morning, the west bank monuments the following morning before the heat builds.
Day one covers the east bank, dominated by Karnak's hypostyle hall and the temple of Luxor itself, which is one of the best-preserved temple complexes in Egypt. Day two crosses to the west bank for the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's terraced temple and the Colossi of Memnon, then turns back to the coast.
Overnight in a five-star hotel in Luxor, with your own guide and vehicle for both days. The Sound and Light show at Karnak and a hot air balloon flight are both available if your ship's schedule allows, and we will check the timings with you before you book.
