The first day is dedicated to the desert environment, beginning with Wadi El Hitan, also known as the Valley of the Whales. The site is recognized for its fossil remains, which document the evolutionary history of whales and provide evidence of the region’s ancient environmental history. After exploring Wadi El Hitan, continue with the private safari experience through the Fayoum desert before reaching the camping area. This allows travelers to extend their experience beyond a daytime visit and spend the night within the desert surroundings.
Dinner is served at the camp, followed by an overnight camping stay.
The second day introduces a different side of Fayoum, beginning with Magic Lake, known for its distinctive natural setting. The route then continues to the Fayoum Waterfalls, offering a contrasting landscape where water forms part of the surrounding desert environment.
The tour also includes the traditional Fayoum waterwheels, or sawaqi, which are closely connected with the region’s agricultural heritage and traditional water-lifting methods.
