The Weather Bonus

December and January are the mildest months of the Egyptian year: Cairo around 20°C by day, cool jackets at night, Luxor and Aswan warm and sunny, and the Red Sea comfortably swimmable. Long temple days are a pleasure, not an endurance test. Desert nights are cold, pack a real warm layer.

The Festive Atmosphere
